Flagstone is a flat stone, used for paving slabs, walkways, driveways, patios, fences, garden paths, borders, flooring, chimneys and roofing. The stone comes in red, blue and buff leading to some creative and colorful uses and is available in either natural shapes or squares and rectangles. It can be laid on said, stone dust or on cement.
Flagstone is easy to maintain and costs less than other materials. The texture creates a non-slip surface making the material easy and safe to walk on. Sealing the flagstone patio or walkway will help to increase the lifespan of the material.
Blue flagstone is pure granite that’s cut out in giant blocks. It has a slightly rough surface that looks like natural rock.
Arizona flagstone is deep reddish-brown or tan and has a shimmer. This stone has more of a flat look.
Slate is blue but has a flat, smooth look.
